BJJ is a unique martial art focusing on ground fighting where one can gain control and utilize submission techniques to neutralize or defeat an opponent. Technique, leverage, strategy and conditioning are all vital components covered in our classes. We cover a wide array of take-downs and throws coupled with the intricacies of changing levels to maximize effectiveness. We focus on setting up take downs and the importance of transitioning. This is all tied together by focusing on positioning, control, body and situation awareness, strategy, and applying submissions.

We provide 2 different style classes each with unique characteristics that contribute to being a well rounded Jiu-Jitsu practitioner.

 Our Sport Gi Jiu-Jitsu

…class is focused on competition and practical Jiu-Jitsu covering a wide range of topics vital to becoming a well-rounded grappler. Traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is taught while wearing a Gi which consists of a jacket, belt and pants. The Gi is a necessary part of the Jiu-Jitsu discipline due to the dynamics it creates when worn. Gi training helps you focus on the intricacies of moves and heightens awareness while also helping to improve your No-Gi grappling performance.

No-Gi + Submission Grappling

…is a Gi-less submission grappling class with a focus in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while incorporating diverse techniques from a wide variety of disciplines including Judo, Greco Roman Wrestling, Freestyle Wrestling, Sambo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This class is vital for those practicing or competing in grappling or MMA.
